These resetters are required for Epson Printers. They MUST be used if you wish to refill your Compatible cartridges. They can also be used to maximise the use of the cartridge. WHICH magazine highlighted the fact that when the ink level registers as zero, there can be as much as 50%-60%of ink left in the cartridge.
These cartridges re setters are for use on the following Epson Cartridges THIS CHIP RESETTER HAS THE ABILITY TO RESET BOTH 7 AND 9 PIN CARTRIDGES. 7 Pin:- T007, T008, T009, T015, Y016, T017, T026 T027, T028, T029, T036, T037, T041, T038, T039 T0321-T0324, T0331-T0336, T0341-T0348, T0421-T0424, T0461, T0472-T0474, T0441, T0431, T0442, T0443, T0444, T0445, T0481, T0482, T0483, T0484, T0485, T0486. 9 Pin:- T0711-T0714, T0801-T0806, T0771-T0776, T0691-T0694, T0881-T0884, T0791-T0796
Resets some T0711/12/13/14 compatible cartridges, but unfortunately not all. We have not had any problems resetting the compatible cartridges that we supply.
The chip resetter will reset the chips on genuine Epson T0711, T0712, T0713, T0714, T0801, T0802, T0803, T0804, T0805 & T0806 cartridges but the you will need to reset your cartridges before the ink level goes below around 50%. This is because, on a genuine Epson cartridge, there is a sensor behind the chip that is always immersed in the ink. If the cartridge is empty or low then air will have reached the sensor and it will render the cartridge permanently unrecognisable after resetting. Resetting the cartridge at 40% ink level or above will keep the sensor immersed in ink and therefore stop the cartridge from being rejected.
As far as we know, the sensor behind the chip on a genuine cartridge performs no other function than to make it difficult for the cartridge to be reset or refilled.
