A CISS provides a continuous flow of ink to the print head of the printer without the need to change cartridges.
Large ink reservoirs are mounted externally to the printer & continually supply the cartridges with ink through feed tubes with cartridges remaining in place permanently in the printer. The independent ink reservoirs can be easily refilled.
